Pregnancy and Other Things...

So, we've known for a few weeks now but I need to document it on the blog. We're having a BOY!!

I kinda knew it was a boy all along, so I wasn't too surprised but we are sooo excited!  The anatomy scan looked great, and we could definitely tell it was a little boy ;)  Baby boy had his hands up by his face pretty much the whole time (just like his sister) and we got this cute photo in what Matt calls boxing position.

This pregnancy is going by WAY TOO FAST! I'm feeling pretty good these days, though starting to feel heavy.  I have tums every day, and have some pretty bad ligament pains when I start moving after being still, and am sooooo tired, but other than that I'm doing pretty awesome! I feel a lot bigger than with the last pregnancy, but it's not too much of a difference when you look side by side.... I think I'm carrying  a lot lower this time.

23 Weeks with baby boy

We have so much to do before baby is born so I feel kinda stressed, but don't worry I've been relaxing quite a bit :)  The baby's room needs paint, a ceiling fan, and closet doors fixed.... and then furniture! It takes much longer than last time to get this stuff done because we now have a crazy little toddler to keep busy.

In other news.... we averted a crisis!!

On my birthday, (happy birthday to me!) Molly learned how to climb out of her crib! I was in tears because I was looking forward to a long birthday nap.  Also, we had just decided to keep her in the crib when the baby comes because she was sleeping so well in it. Sooo... I tried to get her to nap but after about 10 tries, I gave up.  That night, she went to bed like nothing happened.  Hallelujah!

So the next day, I was preparing for disaster.  I put her in bed for nap, and watched the video monitor.  As soon as she even looked like she wanted to climb out, I rushed in and told her to lay down. I did that about 12 times, and then she finally got too tired and took a nap. YAY!

Since then it's like she's forgotten she can climb out.  Thank goodness.  We will be watching her carefully, but I think we're good for a little while at least.  I bought a toddler sleep sack just in case it happens more so we can try that, but Molly and I both need a little more time before the switch to a big girl bed.

Love this girl

My Birthday:

Matt bought me chocolate chip muffins and orange juice for breakfast which was awesome and then we opened presents.. I got some wonderful things so thank you everyone!

My dear sweet husband bought be a tub of books from the school district.  I'm talking a bucket as big as the Walmart $5 movie bins.  It was ridiculous! He did it because he saw Sherlock Holmes on the top and knew I had been wanting to read it. So we have books. LOTS of books. EVERYWHERE! I sorted through them and kept one normal sized box of them, but there were some weird books in there.  There were a few capitol punishment books,  a book about PCP (the drug), and a bunch of out of date history and science books. Haha.. it was a good thought, but boy is the clutter driving me nuts, so I hope those books are all out of here soon!

Not even 1/4 of them

Matt went to work, we had the nap crisis, I tutored a high schooler, and then Matt came home a little early from work which was pretty much the best gift ever.

We went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and they made me sit on the saddle and "ye-haw".  I had a hard time getting on it with my belly and round ligament pain haha but it was pretty fun.  I'm 28 and that feels so close to OLD! But my life is so blessed, and I couldn't be happier!
