Molly is talking so well these days, and I never want her to grow old and pronounce things correctly! She says the cutest things and I want to remember them forever so here is a list of some of my favorite "Molly words".
Axsissy (Actually)
Hanitizer (Hand Sanitizer)
Momiter (Baby Monitor)
Princess Elsasa
Pinano (Piano)
Szhing (Thing)
Washing Mannine
Family Home Family (FHE)
She also calls random things an "indian" and has no idea what that means and knows all the sounds to lots of disney princess songs but doesn't sing them quite right and it's ADORABLE!
Does my baby girl have to grow up??

Molly 2.5
Molly is two and half! Boy, is she learning and growing so much everyday! She makes being a mom so much fun! I'm not sure why they call it the terrible two's because I love hanging out with this 2 year old!
Lately, Molly:
Lately, Molly:
- Wears size 3T clothes and 8 shoes
- Is daytime potty-trained! Though she still has a couple accidents a week because she'd rather play than go sit on the potty.
- Still sleeps great at night, and is starting to not move around and fall out of bed so much
- Loves books. She will read them or be read to all day long
- Likes to go on walks with Mommy and Carson especially if they end at a park
- Has so much energy! She likes to run and dance and spin.. it makes me tired just watching her
- Can put her underwear, pants, socks and shoes on by herself... we're still working on shirts
- Loves to take baths with Carson and showers with Mommy or Daddy
- Likes getting her hair done and will often tell me how she wants it done. She also tells us often that she wants hair like Rapunzel
- Can count to 50 with a little help and can memorize songs super fast!
- Is obsessed with princesses these days.. she watches a Disney princess medley on YouTube and can name all the princesses and knows what song each of them sing
- Her favorite toys are puzzles, dollhouse, and dress up clothes
- Is becoming a bossy big sister and tells Carson things like "That's not a toy", "That's not yours" and "Don't touch me" at least once a day
- Is pretty obedient except when she's tired or hungry
- Says her own prayers, and they usually go like this..."Heavenly Father, grateful day, thankful blessings, seed and plants and shirts and pants, please bless mommy daddy Molly Carson (sometimes grandma and grandpa and some aunts in there), obey, Jesus, AAAAAMEN!"
- Loves nursery now and always tells us about who was sad and crying during nursery. She is always concerned when people are sad. She often tells me "I want you to be happy" if I act aggravated or tired
- Sleeps with 3 books and a couple stuffed animals in bed with stars shining on the ceiling from her humidifier
- Likes to put her baby dolls to sleep but rocking them and ssshhh-ing and swaddling them
- Plays the piano and makes up songs that are ADORABLE!
- Is in a let-me-do-everything-by-myself stage so everything take a million times longer then it should
- Loves being outside and has started to like going hiking!
- Her favorite foods are dinosaur chicken nuggets, pizza, noodles, any kind of fruit, peas, corn, and smoothies
- Loves going out to eat and she will be very good if we bribe her with "we can go to a restaurant if..."
- No longer takes a nap (unless we're in the car), but will lay in bed for about 40 mins reading books for "rest time".
- Has started to say "I love you" without being prompted which melts my heart!
- Loves to go with me to get Carson when he wake up from his nap
- Will do exactly what you tell her to do if you tell her it's a race (Like go upstairs, clean up your toys, get in the car..)
- Loves to color! And is getting a little more creative with her coloring, but still can't make anything but scribbles
- Is so sweet, and I really cannot imagine life without my caring, smart, crazy little Molly.

Transitions
Molly's life has been completely changed with the arrival of her new little brother. She is doing surprisingly well with all the changes, and has transitioned in even more ways since he's been born.
Big Girl Bed
After Molly fell out of her crib while having a tantrum and landed on her head, we decided to make the switch to a toddler bed. The first night she cried at the door (we locked it) for about 10 minutes and then climbed into her bed and fell asleep. Since then, she is an even better sleeper since we made the switch! She doesn't even get out of bed until we open her door in the morning, and she has taken a good nap EVERY SINGLE DAY since. She has fallen out in the middle of the night a couple of times, but she sure loves her big girl bed.
Potty Training
Since Matt got 6 weeks off for paternity leave this time, we decided to start potty training while he was here to help. One morning we just explained to her that she was now a big girl and she was going to wear big girl underwear from now on. She watched Potty Power that morning and we told her over and over and over "no no pee-pee in your underwear". This first week she had about 2 accidents a day and we tried to stay home most of the day. We are well into the second week now, and it's been 2 days since she's had an accident that was more that a dribble. She is really starting to get the hang of it and LOVES the attention she gets from going on the potty (and the fruit snack reward).

Molly is two!
It's actually not quite Molly's birthday yet, but we celebrated this weekend since baby boy is due next week. She doesn't really understand the concept of birthdays, but loved opening presents, eating cake, and having some friends over to celebrate!
Here is a little bit about Molly at 2 years old:
Sunday we celebrated as a family. She opened her presents, and LOVES them all. She keeps talking about each one of them when she remembers and will run to go play with the toys.
Then we had cake, and she ate a HUGE piece. Matt helped me decorate it that morning and I think we did a pretty good job!
She's keeps talking about her "big cup cake", and loves looking at the pictures of it on my phone.
Today we had a few of her nursery friends over for milk and cookies. She was very excited to have her friends over and kept talking about it, but when they came over she was shy and barely interacted with them... haha I guess that's just how this age is.
When we sang happy birthday to Molly, she danced around with a big grin on her face and I'm SOOOO mad that I didn't think to take a video of it! I didn't even take any pictures after her friends got there, so I feel like a horrible mom! I did take a picture of the table and balloons, so there is proof that it happened!
We listened to music and played, and opened a couple presents, and I think Molly has as good a time as expected! She was sad when everyone left. Next year, I'm going to remember to take more photos!!
Here is a little bit about Molly at 2 years old:
- Her favorite toys are her stuffed animals, puzzles, doll house, slide, and books
- She loves to color, dance, jump, be pushed in her tricycle, and run
- Is talking like crazy! It started at about 22 months, and she's been talking in pretty good sentences these days
- Loves to go to the park and the library
- Loves nursery, but mostly just watches the older kids play
- Likes to help us pray and ALWAYS prays for her tricycle and for the new baby
- Loves to sing the temple song, I am a Child of God, and the ball game song
- Is not a good napper, she'll go a week without napping sometimes, but obviously still needs one
- Still could care less about the TV, which is fine! BUT.. it would be nice while cooking dinner
- Likes to help "make muffins" which is apparently what we're doing each time she helps cook
- Says "no" to everything.. even things we know she wants
- Loves to count. She counts the stairs every time she walks down, and if we ask her to count her food she'll count the bites til it's all gone!
- Likes to take a bath, but hates it when the water drains.. she'll cry and say "bye bye water"
- Still sleeps like an angel at night. She goes to bed around 7:30 usually, and wakes up around 7:30. I could also count the number of times she's woken us up in the middle of the night this year on my hands
- Likes to share all her food with mommy and daddy, and sometimes with her animals
- Loves her daddy.. he can get her to crack up by saying just about anything. Apparent mom is not funny even when I try
- Still sleeps in her crib, and I'm hoping this will last 6 more months or so
- Likes to sit on the potty for long periods of time, but never actually goes to the bathroom (she's been successful twice)
- LOVES to dress up. And do anything that mommy does... She acts out putting in contacts, puts on deodorant, sprays herself with perfume, puts on mommy's shoes, and gets into my jewelry drawer on a daily basis. We got her dress up clothes and jewelry for her birthday, and I think that was her favorite
- Makes my heart melt. She has recently started saying "I love you" and "yes mamma", and I just get all fuzzy inside every time. I love my Molly Jade, and I love watching her grow into a smart and beautiful little girl.
