Carson: Month 1

This little cutie is one month old!

I can't believe one month has gone by already. This new little man sure keeps us busy! We love him and love seeing his little personality come out more and more every day.

This month Carson:

• Weighs 10lbs 5oz and is 23.5 inches long
• Just grew out of newborn clothes and now wears 0-3 and 3 months and wears size 1 diapers
• Sleeps for a stretch of about 4-5 hours at night, and takes a long afternoon nap most days
• Likes his pacifier most of the time, and will fall back asleep if we put it in his mouth
• Makes an O shape with his mouth a lot, and is starting to copy it when we do it
• Has SO MUCH gas! We give him gas drops with pretty much every feeding and they have been working fairly well
• Prefers to sleep with his head to the right.  The doctor noticed that his forehead bone on Carson's right side sticks out more than the other side, so we have to do some neck stretches and make sure he sleeps on the left side for a while so it doesn't become a problem
• Is super patient with Molly.  She like to put his pacifier in his mouth, and scream when he's sleeping 
• Still has a lot of dark old man hair! I hope his stays dark so he looks like his mama
• Loves to be held.  This will calm him down immediately, but sometimes it's hard when I really want to set him down to help Molly or clean
• Also loves white noise and we play it on Matt's phone a lot while he sleeps. We ought to just buy a white noise machine.. 
• Smiles quite a bit, but not in response to us.. it's probably all that gas
• Has a super strong head and likes to look up at the ceiling and windows
• Is such a wonderful addition to our family, and we love him soooooo much!!
