I've been loving all the time I have to do whatever I want this summer, and yes... sometimes I do get rather bored. So as I was staring inside my fridge this morning, I decided I really needed to do something with the big bag of cherries I got in my Bountiful Basket (A produce basket you can buy, but never know what you're gonna get!).
Just like blueberries and coconut, cherries is one of those foods that I LOVE the flavor of but can't stand eating alone. So I looked up some recipes and decided on cherry muffins. I found the recipe here: recipe.
I had a few problems mainly because I forgot we're living in someone else's apartment and they didn't have things that I normally have at hand. So I used raw sugar, and coconut extract instead of almond extract. (They didn't even have vanilla!!)
But, alas they tasted pretty darn good and smelled even better! Mmmm.
***I made them a second time with the right ingredients and added chocolate chips and they were much yummier!
