11 months!

I can't believe Molly is 11 months old already! We have been busy busy busy this month, and she has be growing like a flower.

This month Molly:
  • Weighs about 21 1/2 pounds
  • Wears mostly 12 month clothes and size 4 diapers
  • Has about 20 oz of formula a day with three solid meals
  • Is down to one nap. She sleeps for about 2 hours during the day, and takes a second nap about once a week.
  • Still sleeps a solid 11-12 hours at night
  • Had her first fever.  It was at about 101.8 and all night long and she slept in about 30 minute increments that whole night.. whew! Went down the next day and she was fine after that
  • Is becoming an expert "cruiser", meaning she will go from walls to furniture to people to anything else she can so she can walk around
  • Has started to walk a little by herself! Her longest distance so far has been about 10 feet, and she'll be running before I know it..
  • Is starting to throw adorable little temper tantrums.  These happen when she's tired of being at the store, get something taken away from her, or is sitting in her stroller or car-seat for to long. She literally says "boo hoo hoo" with a pouty face over and over and then flails her legs.
  • Understands lots of words! She knows clap, reach, stairs, milk, dog, hi, and more
  • Had her first visit to the urgent care after falling off her changing table. I cried more than she did, and she was just fine
  • Still has just the 2 teeth, but it starting to eat larger pieces of fruits, veggies and bread
  • Has started to throw her food off her tray a lot.  Not sure if this means she's full, doesn't like it, or just thinks it's a game
  • Has tasted ice cream a couple of times and LOVES it
  • Talks A LOT, and now make lots of different noises and has started to try to copy what we say
  • Had both grandmas (and one grandpa) visit this month which was so nice! She got lots of attention, and I was able to get things done and go on dates with Matt
  • Still loves to go on walks with mommy.  She points at the flowers, and tries to talk to other kids and dogs
  • Loves to play peek-a-boo.  She will initiate it now which is adorable
  • Has CRAZY hair.  It sticks straight up all the time, but it's still not long enough to do anything with
  • Was left alone with daddy for 3 days while I went to visit my family.  They both survived! :)
  • Will play by herself for hours if I'm in the room with her.. as soon as I leave she has a fit or follows me. Though she's getting better about playing in her play pen if I'm cooking dinner in the other room or something
  • Likes to be held a lot more than before.  She'll crawl up to me and pull on my clothes to be picked up a few times a day
  • Is so cute!! I can't believe how big and beautiful she is getting... we are so in love with miss Molly

10 months

Molly is 10 months old! Her personality is really coming out, and she is such a happy girl!

This month Molly....
  • Weighs about 20 pounds
  • Wears 9 and 12 month clothes and size 4 diapers
  • Takes 1-2 naps a day depending on how active she is, but I think she'll be down to 1 nap pretty soon
  • Has about 20 oz of formula a day, and 3 solid food meals
  • Loves berries! She like strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries are her favorite which is surprising because they are so tart
  • Is a super fast crawler... she'll be out of sight if I turn around for 2 seconds, and is usually headed to the stairs or the bathroom
  • Her favorite babbles are still dada and wahwah and will scream out "daaaah" when she sees a dog or another person on our walk
  • Loves to go on walks which is great for me.  She sits upright and looks at everything the whole 30-60 minutes we walk most mornings
  • Likes to babble and cruise in circles along the edge of her crib when she wakes up from a nap
  • Loves to play peek-a-boo with curtains, doors, and pretty much everything
  • Still hates to cuddle. I can't wait for a day when she rests her head on me and just relaxes, but I have a feeling that will be a few years haha
  • Has started to "monkey crawl" a lot on her feet and hands instead of her knees.. it's quite hilarious to watch her go fast
  • Sleeps from about 7:45pm to 8:00am most days, and it kind of depends on her naps the day before
  • LOVES to be chased around the house. If you start crawling toward her she gets a huge grin on her face and runs away from you
  • Likes to push buttons and point at everything
  • She will now drink pretty well out of a sippy cup, but refuses to hold it herself
  • Loves going to the pool, the park and to story time. She doesn't really like to play with other babies, but likes to stare at them
  • Is such a sweet heart, and always makes me laugh!

9 months

Molly is 9 months old! She's now officially been outside as long as she was inside my tummy, but it seems like it's gone WAY faster than pregnancy :)

These days Molly...
  • Weighs 19 lbs 9 oz. (70%), is 29.5 inches long (99%), and has a head circumference of 45.1 cm (88%)
  • Wears 6-9 month, 9 month and 12 month clothes depending on the brand, and size 3 diapers (though the diapers are getting a little snug)
  • Loves to point.  She points at books, and her food, and just in the air.
  • Can walk really well with assistance.  She can walk behind her elephant toy and always has a big smile while she does it.
  • She's getting much better at finger foods, but still only about 1/2 of it gets to her mouth.  Her favorite finger foods are peas, mozzarella cheese, strawberries and toast.
  • Loves any of the baby food mixes with chicken in them, and loves the pear cinnamon oatmeal.
  • Likes to dance.  She will stand up in her crib and dance with me whenever I go in to get her from her nap.
  • Takes 2 naps a day (about 1 hour and 15 mins each) and they are getting more consistent
  • Has three 7 oz bottles a day, and 3 solids meals that include finger foods and one jar of baby food or baby cereal.
  • Doesn't like drinking out of a sippy cup... we've been working on this for a while and she just doesn't like it. I've tried 3 different kinds but she just chews on them.  She also doesn't like to hold her own bottle.
  • Has discovered her hair and reaches up to grab it often (though she still doesn't have very much).  This is not fun while she's eating.
  • Crawls SUPER fast.  I get a workout just following her around.
  • Loves it when we pretend to eat her fingers. I just love that baby laugh!
  • Sleeps from 7:30pm to about 7:30am most nights
  • Hates being on her changing table, and it's a wrestle to change her diaper or her clothes.
  • Won't sit still in the bath anymore.  She spends the whole time trying to stand up, or trying to turn the water on.
  • Loves to play in the laundry basket. She does it every day.
  • Makes the funniest noises.  She likes to click her tongue, and blow bubbles with her lips and all sorts of other funny sounds.
  • Is taking with more consonant sounds too.  I hear a "ma ma" every now and then but "da da" and "bah bah" are her favorites.
  • Is starting to be a little clingy.  She used to play well by herself for about 30 mins, but now she just wants to follow me around or go where she's not supposed to.
  • Her personality is really starting to show and I love it! She's so happy at the dinner table with us, and loves to watch people at the park and the store.  I think she's going to be a very friendly kid!
